The purpose of the Senior Companion program is twofold; (1) to provide a stipend for low income volunteers who, (2) assist seniors in danger of institutionalization with services to help them remain in their homes. Senior Companions assist with activities of daily living such as shopping, and organizing paperwork while providing companionship. Service is free. (We always have a waiting list for this popular service.)
