RSVP is funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service’s Senior Corps Program. We are an unique program that allows persons of various skill levels and expertise to work on problems that directly affect our communities. Our service area includes Azusa, Claremont, Covina, Diamond Bar, Glendora, La Verne, Pomona, San Dimas, and Walnut.
Our primary objectives are to promote senior health and well being through involvement in meaningful and gratifying work in the community with friends and neighbors, while providing the communities we serve with a vast resource of talent and experience. Our volunteers work in Meals on Wheels programs, tutor children, help in food banks, work in police departments, serve at nutrition sites, provide hospice and patient support in hospitals, answer help lines, provide office support for non-profits, provide assistance to the elderly, and serve as docents in educational cultural non-profit organizations.
Special care is given to each volunteer to find a volunteer position that is challenging and rewarding. We offer volunteer positions to choose from in more than 100 agencies. This service is free of charge to both the volunteer and the agency.
